Seasons

Seasons are a new feature in the remastered version of the game. Each week, which starts on Monday, a random Season is active. These seasons do not alter the game visually, meaning that during e.g. the Frost Season, trees do not appear frozen.

There are four seasons, being the Thaw, Swell, Harvest and Frost Seasons. They resemble the four seasons we have on earth, where the Thaw season represents Spring, Swell representing the Summer, Harvest resembling Autumn/Fall and Frost representing the Winter Season. Typically, each Season has some Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 Animals that appear more frequently. Animals without a specific Season will spawn equally frequent in all Seasons.

The same goes for Special Missions from the active Season. At the Utopia HQ, these missions will only appear in one of the two upper slots and will unlock specific Special Genes. If you have an active Season that spawns, say, three specific Special Missions, then refreshing one of the upper two slots will always result in another one of those three. This also means that it is possible to receive a Special Mission from a different season, but only when you completed most of its Special Missions already.

Daily Gift

Seasons will also reward you every day with a free Daily Gift. Depending on the Season, this can be 10 Chroma, 1 Utopium, Coins or an animal pack. These gifts can only be collected once and when the day is over, it can no longer be collected if you missed it.
